We love everything that comes with sprucing up your space for fall, but there are certain decor trends we prefer over others. This week we’re discussing color palettes, patterns, textures, and all things faux decor. Keep reading to get the inside scoop on our personal favorites and see what budget finds we picked.

Incorporating Textures and Patterns

If you’re looking for an easy way to add dimension to your space, try incorporating various patterns and textures. Don’t be afraid to mess around with a variety of textures especially when adding multiple pillows and throw blankets. Plaid is the perfect pattern for both fall and winter! Use our Woven Cotton Blend Plaid Throw Blanket (shameless plug) from our latest collection, Embrace, if you’re looking for a good starting point.

Warm Color Palette

A lot of times you’ll find similarities between interior design and beauty trends. Right now a neutral, bare face with a bold pop of color through blush or eyeshadow is trending. In other words, keeping things natural with a few pops of personality here and there. The same can be said for decorating for the season. Keep your fall decor neutral while adding colors and patterns throughout. No need to overdo it with a cluster of bats, ghosts, and pumpkins. Similarly, we’ve been loving warmer color palettes rather than something dark and gloomy. We prefer a honey brown, rustic orange, and sage green over a dark auburn or hunter green. You get the best of both worlds with a warm color palette - it gives off that autumn feeling without making your space cold and dark.

Faux Florals and Pumpkins

Fall florals can elevate your space in the best way possible. Add them to your coffee table, mantel, nightstand, etc. There are endless possibilities and all of them will add something special without forcing you to overspend. As mentioned before, we prefer to stay more on the simple side when it comes to home decor. Cream, white, sage, or light orange faux pumpkins are a great way to celebrate the season without the annoying upkeep of a real pumpkin. The best part is there’s a variety of options out there - ceramic, glass, plastic, or plush. As a bonus, you can keep them for years to come so there are no more trips to the pumpkin patch…unless you want to of course!
